このジャケットは、私が現地で生地を選び、1日かけて縫製してもらった。表地は約300年前の藍染めの麻である。
通常の藍染めは、藍の葉から染料を取り出すが、これは現在では失われた技法で、木の幹から染料を抽出している。
裏地は約100年前の藍染めの綿。
I selected the fabric for this jacket locally and had it sewn over the course of a day. The outer fabric is indigo-dyed linen from about 300 years ago.
In normal indigo dyeing, the dye is extracted from the leaves of the indigo plant, but for this cloth the dye is extracted from the trunk of the tree, a technique that has now been lost.
The lining is approximately 100-year-old indigo-dyed cotton.

洗濯を重ねることで色落ちは止まりますが、洗濯の際は必ず単独でおこなってください。
Due to the indigo dyeing of this product, the colour may transfer to other clothing when worn.
The colour fading will stop after repeated washing, but please make sure to wash the garment alone.
